1. Impregnated paint

After curing, it can form a continuous flat paint film on the surface of the impregnated material and bond it into a peaceful whole.

The basic requirements for impregnating paint are:

Low viscosity, good fluidity, high solid content, easy to penetrate and fill the impregnated material.

Fast curing, good monotonicity, strong adhesion, thermal elasticity, and can withstand the centrifugal force when the motor rolls after curing.

It has excellent electrical performance and chemical stability, and is resistant to moisture, heat, and oil.

Excellent compatibility with conductors and other materials.

2. Enamelled wire paint

The manufacturer of Nanyang explosion-proof motors stated that enameled wire paint is mainly used for coating and insulation of enameled wire cores. Due to the fact that wires are subjected to heat, chemical, and various mechanical forces during the process of winding coils, embedding wires, etc., it is required that the enameled wire paint has excellent coating properties, strong adhesion of the paint film, smooth and soft surface with resistance, certain wear resistance and elasticity, good electrical performance, heat resistance, solution resistance, and no corrosion to the conductor.

3. Masking paint

Masking paint is used to coat coils and insulation components that have undergone impregnation treatment, forming a uniform thickness of insulation protection layer on their surface to avoid mechanical damage to equipment insulation and corrosion from atmosphere and chemicals, and to enhance surface insulation strength. Therefore, it is required that the masking paint has characteristics such as fast monotony, strong adhesion, stable paint film, high mechanical strength, moisture resistance, oil resistance, and corrosion resistance.

4. Silicon steel sheet paint

Silicon steel sheet paint is used to coat silicon steel sheets to reduce eddy current loss of the iron core and enhance corrosion resistance. After the coating of silicon steel sheet paint, it needs to be dried at high temperature for a short time. Its characteristics are thin layer, strong adhesion, stability, smoothness, uniform thickness, oil resistance, moisture resistance, and excellent electrical performance.

5. Anticorona paint

The manufacturer of Nanyang explosion-proof motors stated that corona discharge is a discharge phenomenon where blue halo occurs due to the ionization of air in a part of the space at the sudden field strength (such as the sharp electrode) in an extremely uneven electric field.

Anti corona paint is generally composed of a mixture of insulating varnish and non-metallic conductor (carbon black, graphite, etc.) powder. It is mainly used as an anti corona paint for high-voltage coils, such as at the end of coils with higher voltage in large high-voltage motors. In industry, anti corona paint is required to have a stable surface resistivity, strong adhesion, good wear resistance, fast monotonic speed, and storage resistance. Anti corona paint can be applied separately on the surface of the coil, or on asbestos tape or glass tape, wrapped around the outer layer of the coil, or coated on glass cloth to form the main insulation in one go.

6. Surface paint and anti rust paint ionization

Insulating paint mainly consists of a paint base (i.e. film forming substance) and solvents, diluents, fillers, etc. Paint base is a synthetic resin or natural resin, which is a liquid or solid with high viscosity at room temperature. Solvents or diluents are used to dissolve paint substrates, which may gradually evaporate or become a combination of insulators during the film forming and curing process of the paint. Insulating paint can be divided into several types according to its use, such as impregnating paint, enameled wire paint, masking paint, silicon steel sheet paint, and anti-corona paint.
