High voltage explosion-proof motor:

High voltage explosion-proof motor refers to a motor with a rated voltage of over 1000V. Commonly used are 6000V and 10000V voltages, and high-voltage motors are divided into: high-voltage synchronous motors; High voltage asynchronous motor; High voltage asynchronous wound motor; High voltage squirrel cage motor.

Selection of high-voltage explosion-proof motor structure:

Under normal environmental conditions, protective motors are generally used; In workplaces with high levels of dust (form: solid particles), enclosed motors are used;

2. In humid tropical areas or relatively humid places, it is recommended to use damp heat belt motors as much as possible;

3. When used in outdoor areas, outdoor motors can be used. If there are protective measures (such as solutions to problems), enclosed or protective motors can also be used;

4. In high-temperature workplaces, motors with corresponding insulation levels should be selected based on the ambient temperature, and ventilation should be strengthened to improve the working conditions of the motors;

5. In areas with explosion hazards, choose explosion-proof motors;

6. In places with corrosive gases, corrosion-resistant motors should be selected

Selection of high-voltage explosion-proof motor types:

Mechanical devices that do not require speed regulation should prioritize the use of cage asynchronous motors;

For long-term working machinery with periodic load fluctuations, wound asynchronous motors should be used;

When it is necessary to compensate for the power factor of the power grid and achieve stable working speed, synchronous motors are preferred;

When only a few speeds are needed but speed regulation is not required, choose a multi-speed asynchronous motor and use conversion switches to switch the working speed you need;

For machinery that requires high starting torque and constant power (referring to the amount of work done by an object per unit time) for speed regulation, a DC motor should be selected;

For machinery with high requirements for braking and speed regulation, DC motors or AC motors with speed regulation devices can be selected;

When automatic servo control is required, a servo motor needs to be selected.

The motor speed should meet the requirements of mechanical transmission. Under the influence of the standard frequency of the mains power (50Hz), due to different magnetic pole pairs, the synchronous speed of asynchronous motors can be divided into several types: 3000r/min, 500r/min, 1000r/min, 750r/min, 600r/min. Due to the existence of slip, the actual speed is 2-5% lower than the synchronous speed

Therefore, the method for selecting motor speed is as follows:

For machinery that does not require speed regulation, a motor with a speed close to that is generally selected, so that the motor can be easily connected to the mechanical shaft through a coupling;

For low speed transmissions that do not require speed regulation, a slightly higher speed motor is generally selected and transmitted through a reducer (divided into gear reducers, worm reducers, etc.), but the motor speed should not be too high. Generally, a synchronous motor with a speed of 1500r/min can be preferred because the adaptability of the motor at this speed is good;

High voltage explosion-proof motors can be used to drive various types of machinery. Such as compressors, water pumps, crushers, cutting machines, transportation machinery, and other equipment, used as prime movers in various industries such as mining, machinery, petrochemical, and generators.
