1. Flameproof explosion-proof motor

It uses an explosion-proof enclosure to isolate electrical parts that may generate sparks, arcs, and hazardous temperatures from the surrounding explosive gas mixture.

However, this type of casing is not sealed, and the surrounding explosive gas mixture can enter the interior of the motor through the gaps between the joint surfaces of various parts of the casing. Explosion may occur when in contact with ignition sources such as sparks, arcs, and dangerous high temperatures inside the casing. At this time, the explosion-proof casing of the motor will not be damaged or deformed, and when the explosive flame or hot gas flows out through the gap of the joint surface, it cannot ignite the surrounding explosive gas mixture.

2. Increased safety explosion-proof motor

It is a motor structure that does not generate arcs, sparks, or dangerous high temperatures under normal operating conditions, and some mechanical, electrical, and thermal protection measures are taken to further avoid the danger of arcs, sparks, or high temperatures under normal or recognized overload conditions, thereby ensuring its explosion-proof safety.

The basic series of low-voltage increased safety motors currently used in China is the YA series increased safety three-phase asynchronous motor, which is a derivative product of the Y series (IP44) three-phase asynchronous motor.

3. Positive pressure explosion-proof motor

It is a type of positive pressure electrical equipment.

Its structural characteristics are:

(1) Equipped with a complete ventilation system, there are no structural dead corners inside the motor that may affect ventilation.

(2) The casing and pipes are made of non combustible materials and have sufficient mechanical strength.

(3) Maintain sufficient positive pressure in the casing and main pipeline relative to the external atmosphere.

(4) The motor must be equipped with safety protection devices (such as time relays and flow monitors) to ensure sufficient air change, and must also have automatic protection or alarm devices for under pressure of the air pressure inside the casing.

(5) The quick opening or cover on the shell must have a device interlocked with the power supply.
